Morley’s journey began with Leeds Rhinos. Where he made his professional debut in 1996. From the outset, it was evident that he possessed a rare combination of physicality and skill that set him apart from his peers. Standing at 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing around 105 kilograms. Morley was an imposing force on the field. His explosive runs. Bone-crushing tackles. And tireless work rate made him a nightmare for opposition players.

In 2001. Morley embarked on an adventure Down Under. Joining the Eastern Suburbs Roosters in the National Rugby League (NRL). He quickly established himself as a fan favorite. Showcasing his ferocity and fearless approach to the game. His performances earned him the reputation of being one of the most fearsome forwards in the competition. And he played a vital role in the Roosters’ successful campaign to win the NRL Premiership in 2002. In addition, he secured the 2003 World Club Challenge. With the Roosters thrashing St Helens 38-nil.

Return to UK Rugby League with Bradford Bulls, then Warrington Wolves

Morley’s return to the United Kingdom saw him don the jersey of both Bradford Bulls whilst still playing in the NRL. Then a permanent deal with Warrington Wolves. At Bradford, he won the Super League title whilst on loan in 2005. Also, at Warrington, Morley’s leadership qualities began to shine through. And he captained the team with great distinction.

It was at Warrington Wolves,  where Morley reached the pinnacle of his club career. Joining the Wolves in 2007. He became an integral part of their resurgence as a competitive force in the Super League. Morley’s contributions were invaluable as Warrington clinched the Challenge Cup in 2009. Again in 2010 and then against his former club Leeds Rhinos in 2012. Ending a 35-year drought for the club. His relentless determination and never-say-die attitude endeared him to the Warrington faithful. Who recognized him as a true legend of the club.

Morley’s exceptional club career was complemented by his international success. Representing England and Great Britain. He earned a total of 53 caps.
