The first Great Yorkshire Show was held in 1838 in the Barrack Yard at Fulford, York. At this time most people did not have transport so the show moved annually to different locations in Yorkshire until 1950.

In 1951 the event was staged on the current permanent showground in Harrogate. Over 135,000 visitors and 8,000 animals flock to the Great Yorkshire Showground every year for the three day show; making it one of the biggest in the UK.

The 160th Great Yorkshire Show is being held in 2018 from Tuesday 10th to Thursday 12th July and to celebrate this milestone fashion brand Ellis Rugby were appointed to design and launch a limited edition clothing range.

The collection includes a stylish crest featuring – ‘Celebrating Yorkshire’, the famous White Yorkshire Rose and circled by ‘Ears of Wheat’. This crest appears along with the ‘Yorkshire Born & Bred’ line on a range of Ladies & Gents Ruggers, T-Shirts and Polos and a version of the smart T-Shirts for kids.

Kevin Ellis, Ellis Rugby Founder is a former professional Rugby player who was born in Yorkshire and formed the Rugby inspired fashion label over five years ago.
