Welshman Billy Boston earned ‘cult hero’ status at Wigan, a club where he scored almost 500 tries during his 15 year spell. After learning his trade in Rugby Union during his junior days, Billy switched codes at the age of 19.
The Billy Boston Hall of Fame collection includes a Wigan Polo inspired by Boston’s two try performance in the Challenge Cup Final when Wigan defeated Hull FC by 30-13 in 1959. The Wigan jersey is inspired by Boston and the Wigan team of 1965 who defeated Hunslet 20-16 in the Challenge Cup Final at Wembley.
In addition a Great Britain Rugby League Polo and Jersey celebrating the 1962 Great Britain Ashes winning team down under. Boston scored two superb tries in the 2nd Test to clinch the series.
With every sale a donation is made to the charity Rugby League Cares that helps players transition out of the sport, and supports players past and present who are enduring poor health or hardship.
