An Introduction to The Great Yorkshire Show Rugby Shirt by Ellis Rugby
Great Yorkshire Show Rugby Shirt was designed in 2018. This to celebrate the 160th milestone. Rugby inspired fashion brand Ellis Rugby were appointed. In order to design and launch a limited edition clothing range.
Also, he first Great Yorkshire Show was held in 1838. It was held in the Barrack Yard at Fulford, York. At this time most people did not have transport. So, the show moved annually to different locations in Yorkshire until 1950.
In 1951 the event was staged on the current permanent showground in Harrogate. Over 130,000 visitors and 8,500 animals flock to the Great Yorkshire Showground every year. This is for the three day show and makes it one of the biggest in the UK.

The Show is a celebration of food, countryside and agriculture. It has something for everyone of every age. In the judging rings, thousands of animals will compete from cattle to sheep. In addition, pigs to pigeons. And the Show finishes with one of the most prestigious show jumping classes in the country. It is called the Cock O’The North competition.
From cutting edge farming equipment and machinery to displays from big name brands. Also, this is the place where deals are done and the latest ranges are showcased. While the show has farming at its heart. Also, there’s entertainment, shopping, live music and a professional fashion show, including a celebrity special.

The classic Great Yorkshire Show Rugby Shirt includes a stylish crest. It also features ‘Celebrating Yorkshire’ crest. Furthermore, it includes the famous White Yorkshire Rose and circled by ‘Ears of Wheat’. This crest appears along with the ‘Yorkshire Born & Bred’ line on the collar stand.
Kevin Ellis, Ellis Rugby Founder is a former professional Rugby player. Who was born in Yorkshire and formed the Rugby inspired fashion label over five years ago. He commented “We were excited to collaborate with the Great Yorkshire Show on this project. And our design team have created an exceptional 160th centenary range”

Manufactured by Ellis Rugby from satin touch 100% cotton, the Great Yorkshire Show Rugby Shirt features detailed embroidery on the crest. Other features include herringbone finish on the vents as well as velvet tape on the neck opening. In addition we also offer a Yorkshire Rugby Union Shirt Vintage Classic Style.
