Olympics 1908 Vintage Polo
This sample was produced for Team GB. The Polo design was inspired by the IV Olympic Games which was held in London between the 27th April and 31st October 1908.
Originally the Games were due to be held in Rome. But, the event was moved to London after Mount Vesuvius erupted in 1906 and forced the Italian government to redirect funds toward disaster recovery. The host nation, Great Britain, dominated the competition, finishing at the top of the medal table with 146 total medals, followed by the United States with 47.
