The branding of New York Rugby League is as iconic as the City itself and includes a number of references to the city within its design.  The colors of the flag derive from the early flag of the Netherlands, the country that first settled in the area in 1625.

While the game is relatively new to New York the USA has an interesting history in Rugby League. Back in the 1950s 20 young American footballers flew off around the world playing rugby league – a game they’d never even heard of. Miraculously, the American All Stars competed with the best Australia, New Zealand and France had to offer.

The stateside club start their quest for Superleague status in 2021 and will be hoping to gain promotion through the lower divisions to emulate the Toronto Wolfpack.
