England Rugby Retro Polo
England Rugby Retro Polo
This sample was produced for one of our early ranges. It has a slight stitching defect on the collar – very minor. The design includes England’s traditional flag colours alongside the famous retro red rose crest.
It is believed the origins of the rose came from Rugby School. Elizabeth I, who used a red rose as her emblem, presented the school’s founder, Lawrence Shefford, with a coat of arms in which the red rose featured prominently. Further down the line, this inspired the England Rugby symbol.
